To connect your devices to the system, you just have to install the MobiRest Connect application. This app controls your devices, like cash registers, fiscal printers and thermal printers.
In order to let your devices work properly please follow the instructions below, it takes less them 10 minutes.
I. Tax categories #
- In case of cash registers and fiscal printers make sure that the right tax categories are configured on the device. (usually there is no problem with them)
- Make sure that you have been configured the same tax categories in the MobiRest system for the followings:
- Packaging tax
- Tip tax
- Product taxes
- Modifier taxes
II. Set up your devices #
- Make sure that your devices are up and running.
- Connect your devices via LAN or Wi-Fi to the same router as the one used by the device running the MobiRest Connect application.
- Make sure that your devices are configured to receive commands via LAN or Wi-Fi.
- In case of Epson thermal printers you can ignore this step.

III. MobiRest Connect application #
- Install the MobiRest Connect application from the Play Store to any Android devices. (phones or tablets)
- Log in to your business.
- Add your devices to the system
- Android device settings
- Turn off the battery saver on the device on which the application is running!
- Make sure the application is excluded from battery saver mode.
- Allow the background activity for the application!
- Grant all the notification permissions for the application!
- Disable the “Manage app if unused” feature for this application!
- Enable the “Allow auto launch” feature for the application.
- Strongly recommended: Keep the device running the application connected to a charger, and make sure the screen remains on at all times.
- Turn off the battery saver on the device on which the application is running!
Troubleshooting #
If you have failed jobs please just try to retry them from the website. The system also helps you to identify the problem by indicating an error message for the failed jobs. Sometimes you just have to print a report Z, or sometimes you use wrong tax categories.
If you still have failed jobs, please check the followings:
- Your device is turned on (cash register, fiscal or thermal printer, etc.).
- Your device (cash register, fiscal or thermal printer, etc.) is connected via LAN or Wi-Fi to the router.
- LAN: The cable is pluggend well into the router and into the device as well. Usually a green light should blink near the plugged in internet cable.
- The router is up and running.
- Your business have a stable internet connection without interruptions. To figure it out we recommend to check your internet stability with the following tools:
- The MobiRest Connect application:
- Is up and running on at least one Android device. (phone or tablet)
- It’s logged in to your business
- All the above-mentioned Android device settings are configured directly on the Android phone or tablet on which the Connect App is running.
- Try to manually restart your device(cash register, fiscal or thermal printer, etc.), then try to restart the failed jobs.
